Judge Henry T. Nakamoto

Henry T. Nakamoto was appointed as Circuit Court Judge of the Third Circuit. His term began on October 30, 2017,  and will expire on October 29, 2027.

Nakamoto was initially appointed by Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald as a Family District Court Judge of Third Circuit in 2014.  He was assigned to District Court and served as the Administrative Judge of the District Court of the Third Circuit.

From 1991 to 2014, he was an attorney with the law firm of Nakamoto, Okamoto and Yamamoto.  From 1989 to 1991 he was an associate with firm of Goodsill, Anderson Quinn & Stifel in its Honolulu office.

He is a graduate of the Cornell University and Hastings College of the Law, and was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar in 1989.
