The majority of the jobs in the Judiciary are civil service positions. These jobs include specialized and complex clerical and paraprofessional support; professional occupations such as social workers in areas including probation, treatment courts and guardian ad litem; administrative and managerial positions; and a limited number of semi-skilled and trade positions.
Exempt positions are filled outside the civil service process. Exempt positions may include exempt law clerk and court support staff jobs.
