Maui Drug Court Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Second Circuit Chief Judge Joseph E. Cardoza (ret.) was the featured speaker at the Maui Drug Court graduation ceremony. Judge Peter T. Cahill watches from the witness box and Chief Judge Richard T. Bissen, Jr. presides from the bench.

 

After 20 years and 650 graduates, the Maui Drug Court continues its passionate pursuit to get those with substance abuse addictions on paths to better lives.

Last week the latest graduating class was greeted by George Aiwohi, Drug Court Substance Abuse Counselor with the Maui/Molokai Drug Court Program, who served as the virtual Master of Ceremonies from the Molokai District Court.

Graduates and judges wore ti leaf lei made by one of the participants Another participant helped with greeting graduates and guests and passed out programs.
