Parking Meters Around Iolani Palace not Available to Court Users on Dec. 6
Posted on Nov 30, 2010 in Press ReleasesOn Monday, December 6, persons who need to conduct business at a state courthouse in Downtown Honolulu should allow more time than originally anticipated to find parking or make other arrangements. Public parking meters in the vicinity of Iolani Palace will be closed all day.
The Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) is closing certain parking areas to accommodate the needs of those attending the Governor’s inauguration. The areas are:
Lot A, Makai Garage, 530 Halekauwila St. (Attendant)
Lot D, Kekuanaoa Building parking meters, 465 So. King St.
Lot F, Iolani Palace parking meters, So. King and Richards Sts.
Lot G, Kalanimoku Building parking meters, 1151 Punchbowl St.
Lot L, Kinau Hale parking meters, 1250 Punchbowl St.
Lot S, State Capitol parking meters, 415 So. Beretania St.
Lot V, Vineyard Garage parking meters, 1418 Punchbowl St.
The courts will be very busy on Monday because the Judiciary will be closed for furlough the preceding Friday, December 3.
The state courts near Iolani Palace are the: Honolulu District Court at 1111 Alakea Street, First Circuit Court at 777 Punchbowl Street, Hawaii Supreme Court at 417 South King Street, and the Intermediate Court of Appeals at 426 Queen Street.
