Judiciary Offers Free Seminar on Landlord-Tenant Law
Posted on Mar 11, 2008 in Press ReleasesThe Hawai’i State Judiciary is sponsoring a free session on the topic of “Landlord-Tenant Law” at noon Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in the Supreme Court conference room, 417 South King Street in downtown Honolulu.
Attorneys Anne Anderson and Michael Kalish will provide an overview of landlord-tenant law and offer information to help landlords and tenants understand their rights and responsibilities.
Anderson is a partner in the law firm of Neeley & Anderson LLP, a limited liability law partnership. She practices in the areas of community association law and landlord-tenant law. She co-authored the Hawai’i District Court Landlord-Tenant manual and Evictions: Residential and Commercial Evictions in Hawai’i manual. Anderson received her law degree from DePaul University.
Kalish is currently with the law firm of Mark S. Kawata. Previously, he was with the Housing Law Unit at the Legal Aid Society of Hawai’i and has served as a law clerk for Judge Shackley Raffetto. He is a graduate of the William S. Richardson School of Law.
This “Lunch ‘n’ Learn the Law” program is part of a series of free informational seminars for the general public featuring topics relating to specific areas of the law and the courts. Volunteer presenters include judges, attorneys, court officials and other subject-matter experts.
