Judiciary Offers Free Seminar on “Elder Law”

The featured speaker will be James H. Pietsch, director of the University of Hawai`i Elder Law Program. He is a professor at the University’s William S. Richardson School of Law and an adjunct professor of geriatric medicine at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. Pietsch is co-author of “The Elder Law Hawai`i Handbook” and co-editor of “Cultural Issues in End of Life Decision Making.” He is also co-author of a handbook for caregivers, “Deciding What If?” which will be distributed at the Nov. 15 program.

This session is part of the “Lunch ‘n’ Learn the Law” program, a series of free seminars for the general public on topics relating to specific areas of the law and the courts. Volunteer presenters include judges, attorneys, court officials and other subject-matter experts.
