Judiciary Debuts New Web Site for Big Island Jurors

Posted on Apr 18, 2006 in Press Releases

Big Island residents summoned for jury duty may now go online to the Judiciary’s Web site at https://www.courts.state.hi.us and click on “Jury Service” to find out when they must report to court.

Persons selected by the Third Circuit for jury service may learn the day, time and place they must report. Jurors still have the option of calling a code-a-phone to obtain this information. The information on the Web site and code-a-phone will be updated by 5 p.m. one day prior to the report date. The site also has answers to questions frequently asked by the 40,000 Hawai`i residents called for jury service annually.

The jury pool Web site was created at no cost to the Judiciary as a public service by eHawaiiGov, the State of Hawai`i’s Internet portal (http://www.ehawaii.gov). eHawaiiGov is a collaborative effort between the State of Hawai`i and Hawai`i Information Consortium, LLC.
