Kauai Drug Court Community Service Project
Posted on Apr 20, 2015 in Featured NewsOn April 2, 2015 clients and staff of the Kauai Drug Court participated in a community service project at the National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG) at Kalaheo. The volunteers cleaned and raked vegetable beds and eradicated guinea grass (also known as buffalo grass) and leucaena (also known as haole koa) both of which are invasive species.
They were treated to a lunch provided by the Friends of the Kauai Drug Court, a Kauai United Way Agency. The Drug Court staff would like to thank the clients and the staff of National Tropical Botanical Garden for coming out and for the lunch and refreshments provided by the Friends of the Kauai Drug Court. We look forward to our next community service event.
