Volunteer Recognition Ceremony
Posted on Sep 30, 2014 in Featured NewsOn Friday, September 26, the Hawaii State Judiciary honored First Circuit (Oahu) volunteers at its annual Volunteers in Public Service to the Courts (VIPS) Ceremony, held at the Supreme Court Courtroom. This was our chance to honor the 1,310 volunteers who have served at First Circuit through FY2013-14. These volunteers have provided more than 48,700 hours of combined service!
Pictured above is Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald (left) and Justice Sabrina McKenna (right), posing with volunteer Jocelyn Chong. Jocelyn has been volunteering as a law clerk in Justice McKenna’s office since June and will become a full-time law clerk in 2015! We are so grateful for Jocelyn and all of the volunteers in our Judiciary ohana. If your are interested in volunteering with the Hawaii State Judiciary, information is available on our website.
