Horner Appointed to Judicial Selection Commission by Chief Justice Recktenwald
Posted on Mar 22, 2013 in Featured NewsHawaii Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald today announced the appointment of Dr. Phyllis C. Horner to a six-year term on the state Judicial Selection Commission, replacing Frederick T. Okumura when Okumura’s term expires on April 1, 2013.
“With her extensive background and experience in employee development and organizational effectiveness, I am confident that Ms. Horner will serve the Commission and the people of Hawaii well,” said Chief Justice Recktenwald.
Horner has been the Talent Development Manager in the Human Resources Department at Servco Pacific Inc. for nearly eight years. She is responsible for the design and implementation of programs to ensure employee engagement, performance and development.
Horner earned her masters and doctorate in organizational psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit. As the owner and president of Leader’s Wisdom, she has more than 20 years of experience working with executives and organizational leaders to optimize strategy, leadership practices, change management, career planning, and team performance. She also currently serves as Chair of the Advisory Board of the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership at the YWCA of Oahu.
