Honolulu District Court Users May Experience Delays in Accessing Building Elevators
Posted on Feb 20, 2011 in Featured NewsWork to upgrade and modernize the elevators at the Honolulu District Court building on the corner of Alakea and Hotel Streets will begin on Tuesday, February 22. The project should be completed by December 2011.
Court users are being asked to please anticipate and plan for delays when entering and exiting the building. At least one of the four public elevators will not be in use during this time.
Court matters handled at this busy courthouse include small claims and regular claims cases, landlord-tenant disputes, traffic cases, and misdemeanors. The facility also houses two circuit court divisions handling domestic violence jury trials.
