Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald issued a Proclamation on March 3, 2017 in honor of the late Associate Justice Mario R. Ramil, who served the Judiciary with honor and distinction on the Hawaiʻi Supreme Court from May, 1993 to December, 2002. Justice Ramil holds the distinction of being the second individual of Filipino ancestry to serve on the Hawaiʻi Supreme Court. He was a true public servant who dedicated his life to serving the people of Hawaiʻi.
