Judge Wendy M. DeWeese

Judge Wendy M. DeWeese was sworn in by Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald as Circuit Court Judge of the Third Circuit on December 2, 2021, after serving over three years as a Third Circuit District Family Court Judge. 

Prior to being appointed as a judge, she served as a Deputy Public Defender. In 2005, she served as a law clerk for Third Circuit Court Judge Ronald Ibarra. 

Judge DeWeese was admitted to the Bar in California in 1993, and to the Hawaii State Bar in 2006. 

She received her law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, and her bachelor’s degree from Pomona College, in Claremont, California.
