Notice of Petition for Retention of The Honorable David W. Lo

The Judicial Selection Commission, State of Hawai`i, announces that the term of the Honorable David W. Lo as District Court Judge of the First Circuit, State of Hawai`i, will expire on August 22, 2012. Judge Lo, in accordance with Section 3, Article VI of the Constitution of the State of Hawai`i, has petitioned to be retained in office and to be renewed for an additional term. The Constitution of the State of Hawai`i empowers the Commission to determine whether Judge Lo should be retained in office for an additional term of six years.
The Commission invites interested persons to submit written comments on whether Judge Lo should be retained in office for a new term. All comments will be kept CONFIDENTIAL. Written comments must be post-marked, faxed, or delivered to the Commission’s address below not later than Friday, March 9, 2012.
