State courts and Judiciary operations on Oʻahu and Kauaʻi will be closed Tuesday, September 8, due to Hurricane Lowell.  Jurors on Oʻahu and Kauaʻi should not report to court Tuesday.

Judge Rom A. Trader

Rom Trader had 20 years of experience as a prosecutor before becoming a First Circuit Court judge on March 27, 2009.

Nominated by Governor Linda Lingle, Judge Trader was also an adjunct professor at the University of Hawaii’s William Richardson School of Law.

He earned his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa.
