Hawk Sworn In as Third Circuit District Court Judge

Jeffrey A. Hawk was sworn in as Judge to the District Court of the Third Circuit (Hawaii island) at a special ceremony on November 4, 2019, at Hale Kaulike, the judiciary complex in Hilo.
The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald. Guest speakers were, in order of presentation: Derek R. Kobayashi, Hawaii State Bar Association President; R. Hermann Heimgartner, West Hawaii Bar Association President; Sherilyn K. Tavares, Hawaii County Bar Association President; Darien W.L. Ching Nagata, Hawaii State Trial Judges Association Vice President; Ronette M. Kawakami, Judicial Selection Commission Chair.
Judge Hawk will serve a term of six years.
