Darien W.L. Ching Nagata was appointed by Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald to the District Court of Third Circuit.

From 1998 to 2016, she served as a deputy prosecuting attorney for the County of Hawai‘i Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.

She is a graduate of the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law, and was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar in 1997.
