Governor Nominates Katherine Leonard as Chief Justice

On July 22, Governor Lingle nominated Katherine G. Leonard as chief justice of the Hawaii Supreme Court at a 3 p.m. news conference at the State Capitol. The State Senate will schedule a confirmation hearing to consider Judge Leonard’s nomination.
