Aliiolani Hale and Kapuaiwa Building Closed Due to Power Outage

Honolulu, HI – The Hawaii Supreme Court building (Aliiolani Hale) at 417 South King Street, and the Intermediate Court of Appeals (Kapuaiwa Building) at 426 Queen Street are closed as of 2:45 p.m. today, May 3, 2016, due to a power outage.  Computers and telephone lines are also not in service at this time.

The Chief Justice issued an order extending deadlines on the cases that are affected.  All documents due during the court closures will be considered timely if filed by the close of business on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.  

Aliiolani Hale and the Kapuaiwa Building are expected to reopen for business as usual on the next regular business day, Wednesday, May 4, 2016.  We will provide updates if there are any changes or additional closures.
