Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald is pleased to announce the selection of Rodney A. Maile as the new Administrative Director of the Courts effective December 1, 2010.

“Mr. Maile is well qualified to assume this very important position, having served in various administrative capacities, most recently as the Deputy Director for the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA).  He also has extensive experience presiding over administrative proceedings as the Senior Hearings Officer at the DCCA,” Chief Justice Recktenwald said.

Mr. Maile graduated from the William S. Richardson School of Law and was admitted to the Hawaii Bar in 1978.  He served as Deputy Public Defender and as Staff Attorney to the Regulated Industries Complaints Office and Office of Consumer Protection, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
