Judiciary Offers Free Seminar on “Labor Law: Termination, Unemployment, and Other Issues in Employment Law”

The Hawai`i State Judiciary is sponsoring a free, public informational session, “Labor Law: Termination, Unemployment, and Other Issues in Employment Law,” from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, in the Supreme Court conference room, 417 South King Street in downtown Honolulu. Attorney Christopher Yeh is the featured speaker.

Yeh is a partner with Marr Hipp Jones & Wang, advising companies on a wide range of employment matters. He has successfully represented employers in numerous proceedings before state and federal courts and agencies. Yeh received his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.

Labor law is a broad legal area involving the employer/employee relationship, including termination and unemployment. Other areas covered during the session will be determined by audience interest. Employees and employers are welcome to attend.

This session is part of the “Lunch ‘n’ Learn the Law” program, a series of free seminars for the general public featuring topics that relate to specific areas of the law and the courts. Volunteer presenters include judges, attorneys, court officials and other subject-matter experts.
