Supreme Court Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection Seeks New Member
Posted on Mar 22, 2006 in Press ReleasesThe Nominating Committee of the Hawai`i Supreme Court is seeking a non-lawyer community representative to serve as a trustee for a five-year term beginning May 3, 2006. This position is voluntary and uncompensated.
The duties of the trustees of the Lawyers’ Fund are to administer and operate the Fund which provides reimbursement of losses caused by dishonest conduct of lawyers. Members must have an affirmative interest in the organization; be willing and able to devote time to perform necessary duties; and be conscientious, studious, thorough and diligent in learning the methods and problems of the organization.

The deadline to apply is April 15, 2006. The appointment will be made by the Supreme Court from a list presented by the Nominating Committee.
