Ho`ohiki provides online access to information from civil case files in the Circuit and Family Courts and certain civil cases of the District Courts of the State of Hawaii, as a public service of the State of Hawai`i Judiciary (Judiciary). This information includes the case title, party list, document list, and court minutes list. Information from confidential cases is not available.
Criminal case information is no longer available in Ho`ohiki. Criminal case and Traffic case information can be found in eCourt Kokua.
Ho`ohiki provides access to information about a case, but not to the court documents in the case. If you wish to view or copy court documents, you must go to or contact the legal documents office of the courthouse where the case has been filed.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, the Judiciary updates case information on Ho`ohiki every evening, and the data is current to within 48 hours of the date a court document is filed or a court proceeding is heard. Case information is made available “as is,” with no warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, accuracy, non-infringement, or fitness for a particular purpose. The Judiciary and its employees, officers, contractors, agents, or representatives shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use this website or the online databases, or for the accuracy or validity of any information provided. While the Judiciary uses reasonable efforts to provide accurate, complete, and current information on this website, it does not guarantee or represent that the information contains no errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Information on Ho`ohiki may be removed only by court order. Unauthorized attempts to remove or change the online information are strictly prohibited.
