Landlord-Tenant Eviction Information: Second Circuit (Maui County)

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO LANDLORDS & TENANTS

Governor David Ige has indicated that the eviction moratorium in Hawaii for nonpayment of rent during the pandemic will end on August 6, 2021 and thereafter, eviction lawsuits may proceed in accordance with the law.

A new law, Act 57, requires landlords and tenants to take specific actions before going to court, including participation in mediation.
