East Hawai`i Children's Justice Center

Hilo location of the Children's Justice Center

First opened in 1990, the Center is in a beautiful old Hilo home.
The Center serves 13 percent of the abused children in the state.
While families who come to the Center are often upset and in
crisis, Children's Justice Center staff members find great reward
in helping them.

Video Interviews

Specially trained professionals conduct developmentally appropriate forensic interviews, and interviews are videotaped, in lieu of written statements.
