Office of Disciplinary Counsel

 

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) was formed by the Hawai`i Supreme Court to investigate complaints against Hawai`i lawyers as part of the Disciplinary Board of the Hawai`i Supreme Court. The ODC also provides investigative and administrative support to the Lawyers' Fund.

 

ODC investigates ethical issues and alleged violations of the Hawai`i Rules of Professional Conduct.

 

The following are examples of conduct that may be subject to disciplinary action:

  • Lack of diligence and/or communication
  • Misappropriation
  • Fraud or deception
  • Conflict of Interest
  • Disclosure of confidential information
