The Attorneys and Judges Assistance Program Board (AAP) will have terms expiring on January 7, 2012. There will be three Board positions to be filled, one judge and two lawyer members. Terms will be for three years and the positions are not compensated, although travel is reimbursed.
Duties of the Board members include: Adopt policy and procedures to carry out the objectives of the Program which was established to assist (in the form of education, guidance, emotional support and monitoring of treatment) attorneys and judges who suffer from substance abuse, stress, or other problems affecting their professional performance. Board members must also be willing to devote the time to perform the necessary duties of the AAP including learning the functions and procedures of the organization.
