State Judiciary Offers Free Seminar on Small Claims

First Circuit District Court Judge Faye Koyanagi will explain the process of filing a small claims case and describe what happens when parties go to court.

Before joining the Judiciary in 2003, Judge Koyanagi was in private law practice and also served as a deputy corporation counsel and a deputy prosecuting attorney for the City and County of Honolulu. She graduated from the University of California Hastings College of Law.

This "Lunch 'n' Learn the Law" program is part of a series of free informational seminars for the general public featuring topics relating to specific areas of the law and courts. Volunteer presenters include judges, attorneys, court officials and other subject-matter experts.
