On May 10, 2018, the Honolulu DWI (Driving While Impaired) Court held a graduation ceremony to acknowledge the hard work and success of its two latest graduates.

Since the program’s start in 2013, a total of 42 men and women have completed the intensive treatment program.

In addition to helping participants realize personal improvements during recovery in the program, Honolulu’s nationally recognized program benefits the community at large by:

  • Reducing individual recidivism rates
  • Improving public safety on our roadways, and
  • Saving taxpayer dollars otherwise spent on the arrest, prosecution, and imprisonment of these offenders.
